Energy Analysis

BEXEL’s consultants in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable design use our internally developed software platform for analyzing performance issues of new projects in those fields. The technology is applicable in every stage of building lifecycle and offers a comprehensive set of analyses.

Thermal load and comfort analyses are available, along with dynamic thermal analysis to provide insight into existing building conditions in terms of thermal energy usage and flow, which is the basis for further optimization. Natural ventilation can be assessed to provide answers regarding heating and cooling potential of natural airflow. Detailed airflow computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations are also available. Here, we can assess the overall performance of the HVAC system, which can lead to reevaluating selection and sizing of designed HVAC elements, provided as a service.

Day lighting analysis output information regarding direct influx of thermal energy originating from sunlight and shadow propagation. The potential for introduction of solar energy collectors is also assessed. In commonly met glazed glass curtain wall facades, specific analysis can be carried out for evaluating façade thermal performance. Assessing total natural light usability and impact on overall lighting and thermal performance can affect the need for artificial lighting and heating, resulting in better carbon footprint, the analysis of which is also a feature of our solution.
